There is no direct train or tram service to or from Alicante Airport. You will need to take a bus or a taxi to get from the airport to one of the train stations in Alicante. For trips around the Alicante area, you have the option of taking the tram. If you want to go further afield, you will need to use the national rail service.
The tram in Alicante is operated by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valencia (FGV). As well as Alicante city, it serves several destinations along the Costa Blanca such as El Campello, Villajoyosa, Benidorm and Denia. Services run frequently and the tickets are good value.
The easiest way to get from the airport to the tram station is by bus or by taxi. The Alicante Aerobus route C6 runs every 20 minutes from the airport and stops near Luceros tram stations.

The national train network in Spain is operated by Renfe (Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles), the state-owned railway company. The rail network stretches all across Spain and beyond.
This is the central railway station in Alicante, commonly referred to as the Renfe train station. In the regional Valencian language, it is also known as Alacant Terminal.
From Alicante Airport, you can take the C6 bus, which stops right by Alicante Terminal. In a taxi, the journey from the airport to Alicante train station will take around 20 to 30 minutes.

The Torrellano commuter train station, located about 3 kilometres from Alicante Airport, is the most convenient station for travellers. From the departures area, you can catch the C6 airport bus, which makes Torrellano station its 3rd stop. The journey time on the bus is approximately 15 minutes. If you’re looking for a faster option, a taxi will get you there in about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on traffic.
Murcia: From Torrellano you have a direct train connection to Murcia del Carmen with a journey time of slightly over 1 hour.
Alicante city: It is also possible to catch a train from Torrellano to the main train station in Alicante, with a journey time of around 20 minutes.
