Alicante Airport has been recognised and celebrated by the Committee of Entities representing people with disabilities of the Valencian Community (CERMI CV) for its outstanding dedication and innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing the travel experience for individuals with disabilities.
The airport’s commitment to inclusivity is demonstrated through various measures, including specially adapted lanes for passengers with reduced mobility, a sensory room designed for those with autistic spectrum disorder, and mobile applications catering to the needs of visually impaired travellers. Alicante Airport surpasses the minimum requirements set by European regulations, ensuring it is an inclusive and accessible space for all travellers.
In addition to this accolade, the airport was awarded the prestigious “Most Accessible Airport in Europe” by the Airports Council International in June 2023, further solidifying its commitment to providing a seamless and inclusive travel environment. See here for more information on this.
