Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport has been honoured with the Best Airport in Europe award by the Airports Council International (ACI) for 2024. The airport secured this recognition in its category of airports handling between 15 and 25 million passengers annually, a testament to its ongoing commitment to enhancing passenger experience and service quality.
This marks the fifth time Alicante Airport has won this prestigious award, having previously received it in 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023. As a result of this sustained excellence, the airport has now been inducted into ACI’s hall of fame, receiving the highly respected “ACI World Director General’s Roll of Excellence” award. This distinction is reserved for airports that have consistently demonstrated outstanding service over the years.
The official award ceremony will take place at the annual ACI World Customer Experience Summit and Exhibition, set to be held in Guangzhou, China, from 8 to 11 September 2025. This global event brings together aviation industry leaders to discuss best practices in passenger experience and service innovation.
