Alicante Airport only has one terminal, so it is easy to find your way around. The check-in desks and security screening are on level 2 of the terminal building.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the terminal building. See here for information on smoking areas at Alicante Airport.
There are plenty of shops, including Duty-Free, as well as bars and restaurants at Alicante Airport. The airport also has a VIP lounge.
If you have mobility issues and need help when departing from Alicante Airport, please see our Disability Assistance page.
You will need to be at the boarding gate around 30 to 45 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Keep in mind that you will need to factor in additional time for the way through security control, and potentially, for passport control, check-in and luggage drop. As a rule of thumb: For domestic and Schengen flights, you should arrive at the airport approximately 2 hours before departure and for non-Schengen flights approximately 3 hours before departure.
